This cat picked us.  All of the cats in his litter were pretty crazy, including him.  But when we picked him up he purred incessantly and just sat on our laps like he had known us forever.    We had to bring him home.  Don’t let his cuteness fool you, as he is quite the little gremlin(except when he sleeps on my lap while I am working).

He is half “Maine Coon” breed and so I kept singing “Rocky Maine-Coon” to the tune of the that Beatles song “Rocky Raccoon”.  Hence his name.    We almost named him Diesel since he is such a purr-engine.  But since our second kitty is named Diego, we thought two “D”-names would be confusing. ...

The photos don’t quite capture all of his characteristics, but his paws are HUGE in proportion to his little kitten body.  Maine Coons can be quite large cats - some in the 30 lb range.  So we expect that he won’t be little for too long. He also has medium long hair and since he gets into EVERYTHING, he has become our household dustmop.
